INGREDIENTS

Cleaned netholi fish – 1/2kg

Shallots – 5 or 6 nos

Ginger – a small piece

Garlic – 7 to 8 cloves

Chilly powder – 2 tsp

Pepper powder – 1 tsp

Turmeric powder- 1/4 tsp

Lime juice (half lime)

Coconut oil as required

Curry leaves

Salt to taste

HOW TO COOK

Clean the netholi fish keenly and keep aside.

Grind the ingredients (shallots, ginger, garlic, turmeric powder, chilly powder, pepper powder, curry leaves, lime juice) and make it a fine paste.

Add required salt, then marinate cleaned fish with the prepared paste and keep for 10 – 15 minutes.

Heat coconut oil in a pan, add marinated fish and deep fry over a medium flame. When it’s done transfer it in a bowl.

Then fry some curry leaves (make sure that don’t burn) and garlic cloves by using the leftover oil and garnish with the same.

Serve it with rice/kappa.
